5 Footcare tips to move from sandals to closed shoes

Your feet have been in the open air all summer. Now, with closed footwear like heels, narrow pointy shoes and “ballerina flats”, they are in a warm, dark area. So there is always the danger of picking up a fungus on the foot.

What do we suggest for home care in the fall?

    Fall marks the end of humid weather. Furnaces start getting on producing much drier air. The skin on the feet, as elsewhere on the body, becomes drier and in need of extra moisturizing.   2. Stretch:

    Don’t let the first step that you take every morning be painful for you. Stretch out your feet and ankles when you get up in the morning

Closed heels – which can lead to blisters and calluses from friction. “Ballerina” flats with absolutely no support on the sole can lead to Plantar Fasciitis and fallen longitudinal arches.
